Hola, I'm Marcel
I’m the founder and lead travel designer behind our experiences in Cali and the surrounding regions. I also organize motorbike adventures throughout Colombia. Originally from the Netherlands, I moved to Cali in 2022, where I also run a hostel Casa Tierra Libre.
I create journeys the way I’d want to experience them myself;
well-organized, personal, realistic and reliable, but above all enjoyable! With great moments and stories to take home.
It’s about creating real adventure, without throwing you completely into the unknown. Colombia is an incredible country, but it’s not always predictable. Sometimes you have to adapt and be a bit creative. That’s part of the experience and adds to the story.

Cali Travel Experts is a small-scale travel concept focused on creating well-organized, personal experiences in and around Cali, Colombia. We specialize in motorcycle adventures and guided excursions, built on real local knowledge and hands-on experience.
What is Casa Tierra Libre?
Casa Tierra Libre is a small hostel with 4 comfortable private rooms in Cali Colombia and is our homebase from where we start our excursions and motor adventures.
What kind of excursions or tours do you offer?
We offer: Motorcycle day rides and multi-day tours, but also guided tours, hikes and excursions. We can organize or recommend activities such as coffee tours, paragliding, hiking and cultural experiences. Either as part of your tour or as a separate excursion.
Is it safe to travel in Colombia and in the region of Cali?
We carefully select our routes, excursions, partners and areas based on current local knowledge. You’ll receive clear guidance and support, so you can travel with confidence while still experiencing the real Colombia.
What makes your excursions different?

How do I get to Cali?
You can fly into Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport (CLO), which is 30 minutes away from the centre of Cali and is well connected to major cities in Colombia and internationally.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No, you don’t need to speak Spanish to join our excursions or tours. We make sure everything is clearly explained and arranged. That said, knowing a few basic words always helps and adds to the experience. We have a connection with a Spanish language school and we are happy to share some practical phrases and tips to get you started
