Cascada la Esmeralda

A nice hike with a possibility to swim

Difficulty: Moderate to low, with rolling, unpaved roads and trails.
Duration of the hike: 2.5 to 3 hours.
Distance: out-and-back, around 6 km each way

Starting from La Vorágine, the hike follows unpaved roads before crossing the Pance River and continuing along a rural trail with a steady incline, passing through forest and small streams.
There are no food options along the route.

The hike includes visits to La Esmeralda and Cristalina waterfalls, with the option to swim.

Relaxation comes through effort

Difficulty: Low, on unpaved roads and trails.
Duration of the hike: 1.5 to 2 hours.
Distance: Out-and-back approximately 7.5 km each way

Starting from La Vorágine, the hike follows unpaved roads with a steady ascent. The atmosphere is quiet and rural, with fresh mountain air and occasional small farms along the way.
There is the possibility to have breakfast at the top.

The final climb to the Pico de Águila rock depends on local permissions.
